Friday was RJ's FIRST birthday. RJ spent it with a haircut and three partys in 24 hours. To start, Rich gave RJ the very first haircut of his life. Admittedly, it was a butcher job as Rich is completely lacking in barbering skills but fortunately, Sherry was able to trim things so that the cut came out respectable.
After that, it was off to Sherry's parents for RJ's birthday dinner. Sherry created a multi course dinner which included fresh fish and vegetables, chicken and pork dishes as well as soup. Of course RJ received birthday gifts, we sang Happy Birthday and ate birthday cake from the Riviera Bakehouse. It was a long evening and a late night for RJ but we all had fun.
Next on Saturday it was off to Nauni & Pops for another party with some of RJ's cousins. Richs' Dad decided that he would wear RJ's bib which was something we all might have done as we chowed down on Stromboli and Pigs in Blankets. By the time all the guests arrived, RJ was tired and ready for a nap (of course). He was in a complete trance when we sang Happy Birthday. After a little rest, RJ enjoyed eating some of his special cake Nauni baked for him. We all ate cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery. and more cake from Riviera Bakehouse.
After the fisrt Saturday party, it was off to Nana and Pop's for another little celebration. Richs' Mom made some delicious Brisket and there was more presents, cake and Birthday songs. We arrived home well after dark, full of good food and Birthday cake and nice memories of celebrating RJ turning One Year Old !
We are grateful that RJ's Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins, were available, willing and able to help us celebrate RJ's first year. It was a special day and it meant a lot to us.

~~~RJ TURNS ONE !~~~
Today is RJ's first birthday! (At exactly 10:41am). We feel truly blessed that during the past 12 months, RJ has developed healthily and he is such a happy little guy. For us, there has been a lot of learning along the way...But we pray that each year of RJ's life can be as good for him as his first year hes been...
God Bless Little RJ :)
Hudson River Ice
RJ & Rich went for a hike by the river on Saturday. The river is half iced over because of the very cold temperatures we had last week. It was sunny but cold. RJ took a long nap when he got home.
