Warm Spring Day

On Saturday, we took a drive to the Neely Farm and the Thomson Neely House. It was a nice spring day and the weather was warm. The trees all had that fresh early spring green when the leaves have just sprouted. The air was fresh.

The Thomson Neely House was used for sick and convalescing soldiers during the revolutionary war. Alexander Hamilton and James Monroe were treated here. In December of 1776, the property became a staging ground for George Washington's troops when, on Christmas eve crossed the Delaware river to suprise and defeat the Hessian's in Trenton.

One of the highlights of the day, was watching some of the sheep have their annual shearing. RJ was really excited by this and gave each sheep a little pep-talk before it was their turn to be sheared.

Progress

RJ went for his Year 2 check-up with Dr. Utchula his Pediatrician yesterday. RJ's growth in the past 25 months has been fairly impressive...

Height: 38.25 ins.
Weight: 34.5 lbs.
Circumference of head: 51 cm.

RJ knows lots of words and is developing phrases like: "School today", "I'll get it", "I see you", "Come on!" RJ also sings with intonation "Do, Rae, Me" (Sound of Music is his favorite movie).

Everyday while driving him home from daycare, RJ recites the names of his classmates:
"Ari...Beckett...Sorena...Connor...Soren...FRIENDS!!" Is exactly how he says it with a huge grin.
