Sunday was going to be a perfect day, weather-wise. So Rich and I decided to drive over to Keepsake Orchards to pick some apples.
Well we left early and got there by 10:00am when there was practically no one else there. The air was so cool and clean and there was the sweet fragrant smell of the apples everywhere.
We picked Mcintosh, Golden Delicious and Red Delicious apples. The fall foliage was pretty much in it's peak form and really beautiful. We spent about 2 hours filling 2 big bags with our hand selected apples.
On the drive home we had the sun roof open and we were listening to the Allman Brothers Band, "Eat A Peach". We stopped in Cold Spring to eat a late lunch (on top of all of the apples we ate in the orchard...).
When we arrived home, I just fell asleep. So much activity for me & baby.... Now to all of the apple pies, tarts, apple sauce and baked apples to make... ;)
