~~NYC Trip~~

Ok it's Spring. Officially. So the weather should be warm and we should be outside right? Well Rich and I (read: "I"), have been cramped up inside this tiny apartment for the past 5 weeks. (and then 6 weeks before that).

The Weather Guy said the weekend would bring us warm and sunny weather, so Rich and I decided we would go into the city and take RJ for a stroll around Central Park, West Village, etc.

On Saturday, we went shopping at the Garden Center in Westchester (too early for Peonies) and then drove into the city. We went to my mom's laundry in the West Village and dropped off dry cleaning. Then it started to rain. A cold rain. The workers at the laundry loved seeing the baby but we decided it was best to go back to the apartment. (RJ feeding, diaper change, etc...). After that was over we went back to the West Village when it was a little nicer. We went to the Porto Rico Coffee Co. where Rich bought his monthly supply of 3 pounds coffee. Then we went to Bodum in the Meat Packing District, where Rich bought some other stuff.

We saw at least 5 of my customers who were thrilled to see the baby. It seemed really chilly but RJ slept in his sling. After a while we went to the apartment, ordered in, and RJ Slept the WHOLE NIGHT!!! 'Till Sunday at about 10:00am!

We were really brave to take a cab to Central Park at 11:30...It was really sunny but windy and a little chilly. We started into the park fron 5th Ave. and 75th St. Everything seemed fine. Until about 15 minutes later. RJ started to cry in the stroller. We were near a rest room where I went into with him (attempted to changed his diaper). He cried and cried. So I came back out and Rich and I tried to console hime on the lawn somewhere...We ended up taking a cab back...

Back! Fed, Changed, Back in the stroller...Let's go to Bryant Park! (70/sunny), OK! Got to Bryant Park...He crys LOUD!...Put him in the sling..He sleeps. We walk. Sunny. Nice. Nice to be out. We stop at The Gingerman for a pint.

After that, we were all wiped out. Went home and slept. Monday, we drove back to Hastings.
