Yesterday was Rich's ____ birthday. I have been so busy with work and I have been with Rich every other moment, that it was difficult to determine: a) what to get Rich for a gift. b) when and where to get it. and c) how to keep it a secret and ultimately present it to Rich on his birthday.
Well I knew Rich really wanted a new digital camera. (A digital SLR to be exact) I started to look at some of the photoblogs he bookmarks. DYSWIS, meccapixel and others....At one point Rich mentioned that he liked the equipment that these people were using. Ultimately, I decided that Rich liked Canon equipment and that the 8 megapixel Digital Rebel would be the perfect gift.
Rich was so suprised when he recieved it last night. I gave Rich the Camera, a hand made card, flowers and took him to dinner at the little french restaurant next to our building. When we were coming back home, we got stuck in the elevator. It took two people (the ex-Superintendent and another resident), to free us as we were trapped between the 2nd and 3rd floor.
We finished the night with cupcakes from the Magnolia Bakery. The ex-super came back by to make sure we were alright and we gave him a cupcake too.
Rich is really excited to use his new camera and I am expecting some awesome pictures... ;)
